Fiction/Non-fiction
Just finished translating Chinese Dress and Adornment through the Ages (中国历代服饰艺术), a richly illustrated history of apparel and accessories in the Middle Kingdom from B.C. times to the 20th century. My English translation of Shanghai Baby (上海宝贝), the naughty banned-in-China novel by Wei Hui, was a best-seller in Hong Kong and Singapore, and long-listed for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Commissioned by literary agents and authors to translate excerpts from works by Feng Tang (冯唐), and Xiao Hong-Chi (萧洪驰). Polished the English for Kim Jong-Il’s Godson Yang Bin: From Orphan to Sinuiju SAR Chief (金正日的义子:杨斌传奇), the English version of a 409-page Chinese original about the ill-fated millionaire tapped to run North Korea’s short-lived Sinuiju SAR (published July 2009).

Management/Business
Chief Executive China: Original project leader for the launch of the Chinese-language monthly magazine (世界经理人文摘) and the web site (世界经理人), now China’s leading management portal. Researched and wrote Importing from Taiwan: a 254-page guide to purchasing from the island, based on interviews I conducted in Keelung, Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung. Re-package (translate + rewrite)  Chinese press releases for the English-language media, such as this piece for the 2009 International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo.  Translated portions of Hong Kong: Embracing the Olympic Spirit for the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Electronics/IT
Launched and managed editorial coverage for Electronics News for China (国际电子商情), a Chinese-language monthly aimed at purchasers of components, consumer electronics and computer products. Former editor-in-chief of Global Sources Computer Products, an English-language monthly for importers.
